TWO of Gretchen's pieces accepted into the prestigious 2011 Ex Arte Equinus 5 competition!

Dear Gretchen,

We are pleased to inform you that your works, Approach and Medallion, have been accepted in the Ex Arte Equinus 5 Equine Art competition. Your work will be featured on the magazine website and in the show catalog/book.

We had nearly 1000 individual pieces entered again this year in the various media categories. And the list of nations represented by the artists was hugely gratifying. We believe this show has truly grown to represent the best of Equine Art being produced today. You are to be commended on your part of this wonderful experience.

The accepted work should all be posted on the Art Horse Magazine website close to the beginning of the New Year. The magazine and book should be printed and released for sale near March 15, 2012.

Gretchen will be displaying her art & gifts at WEF for 2 weeks: February 2-16, 2009.

Gretchen has been awarded the opportunity to create the 2009 FTI Winter Equestrian Festival cover art. Beezie Madden and Authentic, the bronze medalists! Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond her control, her art will NOT be used for the cover. Gretchen would like to thank Randi Muster for the use of a photo of Beezie used for reference for the final artwork. The piece was painted in her Digital Color Rendition medium.

Gretchen will be back in Wellington with a booth on the hill for the March CDI 19th-23rd. She will be offering photo sessions March 17,18 and early morning the days of the show and the 24th. A piece of my artwork, "Work Ethic" has been selected for the March CDI Olympic Qualifier cover at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center.

Dover Saddlery has recently aquired a photo I took of one of their employees, Paige Finnegan to be published in their 2008 Elite Edition catalog (distributed in March 2008). It will be featured on the "Employee Photo" page of the catalog.

124th National Horse Show Poster Design

Gretchen received the opportunity to create the poster art for the 124th National Horse Show held December 5-9th, 2007 at the Palm Beach Polo Equestrian Club in Wellington, Florida. The objective was to take the original design of the National Horse Show and paint/create it in your own style. Gretchen used her very popular "Digital Color" medium. It lends itself to graphic, fun, and very colorful artwork, perfect to attract attention to this prestigious event. She will be heading to Florida for the show, she will be offering FREE PHOTO SESSIONS on the grounds for commission work, stop by her booth to make an appointment.
